Council Bluffs Police ExplorersThe Council Bluffs Police Explorer Program is designed in cooperation with the Council Bluffs Police Department and the Boy Scouts of America to bring together young men and women between the ages of 14 and 20, who have an interest in law enforcement. While in the annual program, the young men and women are instructed in the role and techniques used by law enforcement throughout the community.Through a very controlled and safe environment, the Explorers are taught by Council Bluffs Police Officers both in the classroom and hands-on settings, ranging from Traffic Stops to Building Searches to Community Relations. Throughout the year Explorers learn self confidence, self respect, as well as respect and caring for each other, the Police Department, and the community.
